Nuvalo hecht veel waarde aan de bescherming van jouw persoonsgegevens. In dit privacybeleid leggen we uit welke gegevens we verwerken, waarom we dat doen, hoe lang we ze bewaren en welke rechten jij hebt. Dit beleid geldt voor de app op nuvalo.app, de websites die ondernemers met Nuvalo maken (jouwbedrijf.nuvalo.app) en voor gonuvalo.com.

2. Welke gegevens verwerken we?

Als je Nuvalo gebruikt (ondernemer). Voor je account en je abonnement verwerken we gegevens die je zelf invult of koppelt:

  • Je e-mailadres (inloggen gaat met een code per e-mail, zonder wachtwoord).
  • Bedrijfsgegevens: bedrijfsnaam, adres, telefoonnummer, KvK- of ondernemingsnummer, btw-nummer, IBAN, logo en huisstijl. Een KvK- of btw-nummer controleren we bij de KvK of de Europese btw-databank (VIES).
  • Je prijslijst, offertes, facturen en de bijbehorende instellingen.
  • Voor je eigen website: teksten, diensten, werkgebied, foto's en projecten. Geef je het adres van je huidige website, dan halen we daar je teksten en diensten op. Koppel je je Google-bedrijfsprofiel, dan halen we je bedrijfsgegevens en reviews op. Foto's van je Instagram importeren we alleen als jij daar zelf op tikt en bevestigt dat ze van jouw bedrijf zijn.
  • Als je een offerte inspreekt: de opname, alleen om die om te zetten naar tekst. De opname wordt daarna niet bewaard; in je offerte komt alleen de tekst die je zelf ziet en kunt aanpassen.
  • Abonnement en betaling: naam, factuuradres en betaalgegevens (verwerkt door Stripe; wij zien geen volledige kaart- of rekeninggegevens).
  • Technische gegevens bij een fout in de app (foutmelding, browser en apparaat), om die fout op te lossen.

Gegevens van jouw klanten. Wanneer je via Nuvalo offertes, facturen en meerwerk opstelt, verwerken wij namens jou gegevens van jouw klanten: naam, e-mailadres, adres, telefoonnummer, eventueel KvK- en btw-nummer, de inhoud van offertes en facturen en eventuele foto's. Wanneer een klant een offerte of meerwerk digitaal accepteert, leggen wij het IP-adres, de browsergegevens (user-agent) en het tijdstip vast als bewijs van de overeenkomst. Vraagt iemand via jouw Nuvalo-website een offerte aan, dan verwerken we de gegevens uit dat formulier (naam, contactgegevens en bericht) en, tegen misbruik, een versleutelde (gehashte) vorm van het IP-adres. Voor al deze klantgegevens is de ondernemer de verwerkingsverantwoordelijke en treedt Nuvalo op als verwerker; hierop is de verwerkersovereenkomst van toepassing.

Als je gonuvalo.com bezoekt. We plaatsen geen tracking cookies, gebruiken geen Google Analytics en geen advertentienetwerken. Wel tellen we anoniem hoe vaak een stap wordt bereikt; zie Cookies.

"Probeer het meteen" (zonder account). Als je op gonuvalo.com een klus intypt of inspreekt om een voorbeeldofferte te zien, sturen we die tekst naar Anthropic en je opname naar OpenAI om het voorstel te maken. De opname bewaren we niet. Vraag je om de offerte als pdf te mailen, of start je vanuit de proef je account, dan bewaren we het voorstel (en bij mailen je e-mailadres) maximaal 30 dagen, zodat je offerte na aanmelden klaarstaat; daarna wordt het verwijderd. We sturen je alleen die ene mail, tenzij je je aanmeldt. Om misbruik te beperken tellen we per dag het aantal pogingen per internetadres; dat adres slaan we alleen versleuteld (gehasht) op, en de telling vervalt na een dag.

3. Waarom verwerken we jouw gegevens?

  • Uitvoering van de overeenkomst — om je account, de app, je offertes, facturen en website te laten werken.
  • Communicatie — om je inlogcodes, meldingen (bijvoorbeeld als een klant tekent) en berichten over je account te sturen, en om je vragen te beantwoorden.
  • Facturatie — voor je abonnement en onze administratie.
  • Beveiliging en verbetering — om misbruik te voorkomen, fouten op te sporen en te zien hoe goed de aanmelding werkt.

Juridische grondslag: uitvoering van een overeenkomst (AVG art. 6 lid 1b), wettelijke verplichting (art. 6 lid 1c, zoals de fiscale bewaarplicht) en gerechtvaardigd belang (art. 6 lid 1f, voor beveiliging en verbetering).

4. Hoe lang bewaren we jouw gegevens?

  • Accountgegevens: zolang je account bestaat. Na opzegging blijven je gegevens 12 maanden beschikbaar voor export; daarna worden ze verwijderd, behoudens wettelijke bewaarplichten.
  • Facturen, geaccepteerde offertes en de bijbehorende gegevens: 7 jaar (fiscale bewaarplicht).
  • Niet-geaccepteerde of verlopen offertes en aanvragen via je website: zolang je account actief is (als klanthistorie), en verwijderd bij beëindiging van het account.
  • Ingesproken opnames: niet bewaard; alleen gebruikt om ze om te zetten naar tekst.
  • Vragen per e-mail: zolang nodig om je te helpen, uiterlijk 12 maanden na het laatste contact.

5. Delen we jouw gegevens met derden?

Nuvalo verkoopt jouw gegevens nooit aan derden. Wij maken gebruik van de volgende verwerkers:

  • Supabase — database, opslag en serverfuncties (servers binnen de EU, Frankfurt).
  • Resend — verzending van inlogcodes, meldingen en offerte- en factuurmails (VS, met EU-modelcontractbepalingen/SCC's).
  • Cloudflare — DNS/domeinbeheer en het tonen van de websites die ondernemers met Nuvalo maken (VS, met SCC's).
  • Vercel — hosting en CDN van de app en gonuvalo.com; verwerkt technische gegevens zoals IP-adres en browsergegevens voor levering en beveiliging (VS, met SCC's).
  • Stripe — betalingsverwerking en abonnementsfacturatie; verwerkt je naam, e-mailadres, factuuradres en betaalgegevens (Ierland, met doorgifte naar de VS onder SCC's).
  • Sentry — foutmonitoring van de app en serverfuncties (servers binnen de EU, Duitsland).
  • Anthropic — AI-tekstondersteuning; verwerkt alleen de tekst die je zelf aanbiedt bij het oppoetsen van offerteteksten, het schrijven van websiteteksten, het uitwerken van een ingesproken offerte of een vraag aan de hulpassistent (VS, met SCC's).
  • OpenAI — zet spraak om naar tekst wanneer je een offerte inspreekt. De opname wordt alleen voor die omzetting gebruikt en door Nuvalo niet bewaard (VS, met SCC's).
  • Google — opzoeken van bedrijfsgegevens en reviews via de Places API wanneer je je Google-profiel koppelt (Ierland, met doorgifte naar de VS onder SCC's).

De actuele lijst staat altijd op de subverwerkers-pagina. Buiten deze partijen worden jouw gegevens niet gedeeld, tenzij wij daartoe wettelijk verplicht zijn.

6. Beveiliging

Wij nemen passende technische en organisatorische maatregelen om jouw persoonsgegevens te beschermen. Alle communicatie verloopt via HTTPS, je gegevens staan versleuteld opgeslagen binnen de EU, en elk bedrijf ziet alleen zijn eigen gegevens. Foto's bij meerwerk staan in een afgeschermde opslag.

7. Jouw rechten

Op grond van de AVG heb je de volgende rechten:

  • Inzage — je kunt opvragen welke gegevens wij van jou hebben.
  • Rectificatie — je kunt onjuiste gegevens laten corrigeren.
  • Verwijdering — je kunt verzoeken om verwijdering van jouw gegevens.
  • Bezwaar — je kunt bezwaar maken tegen de verwerking van jouw gegevens.
  • Gegevensoverdraagbaarheid — je kunt jouw gegevens opvragen in een gangbaar bestandsformaat.

Heb je een klacht? Dan kun je een klacht indienen bij de Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

8. Cookies

Nuvalo gebruikt geen tracking cookies of analytische cookies. Wij plaatsen uitsluitend functionele cookies die strikt noodzakelijk zijn voor de werking van de website.

Om te zien hoe goed onze aanmelding werkt, tellen we anoniem hoe vaak een stap wordt bereikt (bijvoorbeeld: pagina bekeken, verder gescrold dan het eerste scherm, het e-mailveld aangetikt, op de aanmeldknop getikt, code verstuurd, of het offertesjabloon of de verfcalculator gebruikt; wát je daar invult, versturen we niet). Per telling bewaren we alleen de stap, de bron uit de link (zoals een advertentie), het soort apparaat (telefoon, tablet of computer) en of de pagina in de app van Instagram of Facebook werd geopend. We bewaren daarbij geen IP-adres, geen browsergegevens en niets wat naar jou te herleiden is, en we plaatsen er niets voor in je browser.

Wij kunnen dit privacybeleid aanpassen als onze dienstverlening of de wetgeving daartoe aanleiding geeft. De meest actuele versie staat altijd op deze pagina.

Nuvalo takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This privacy policy explains what data we process, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It applies to the app at nuvalo.app, the websites businesses create with Nuvalo (yourcompany.nuvalo.app) and gonuvalo.com.

2. What data do we process?

When you use Nuvalo (as a business). For your account and subscription we process data you enter or connect yourself:

  • Your email address (you log in with a code sent by email, no password).
  • Business details: company name, address, phone number, Chamber of Commerce or company number, VAT number, IBAN, logo and branding. We check a Chamber of Commerce or VAT number with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) or the European VAT database (VIES).
  • Your price list, quotes, invoices and related settings.
  • For your own website: texts, services, service area, photos and projects. If you give us the address of your current website, we fetch your texts and services from it. If you connect your Google Business Profile, we fetch your business details and reviews. We only import photos from your Instagram when you tap to do so and confirm they belong to your business.
  • When you dictate a quote: the recording, only to turn it into text. The recording is not stored afterwards; only the text you see and can edit goes into your quote.
  • Subscription and payment: name, billing address and payment details (processed by Stripe; we never see full card or account numbers).
  • Technical data when an error occurs in the app (error message, browser and device), to fix that error.

Your customers' data. When you create quotes, invoices and extra work in Nuvalo, we process your customers' data on your behalf: name, email address, address, phone number, Chamber of Commerce and VAT number where applicable, the content of quotes and invoices and any photos. When a customer accepts a quote or extra work online, we record the IP address, browser details (user agent) and the time as proof of the agreement. When someone requests a quote through your Nuvalo website, we process the data from that form (name, contact details and message) and, to prevent abuse, an encrypted (hashed) form of the IP address. For all customer data the business is the controller and Nuvalo acts as processor; the data processing agreement (in Dutch) applies.

When you visit gonuvalo.com. We don't use tracking cookies, Google Analytics or advertising networks. We do count anonymously how often a step is reached; see Cookies.

"Try it now" (without an account). When you type or dictate a job on gonuvalo.com to see a sample quote, we send that text to Anthropic and your recording to OpenAI to create the proposal. We don't store the recording. If you ask us to email the quote as a PDF, or start your account from the trial, we keep the proposal (and, when emailing, your email address) for at most 30 days so your quote is ready after signing up; after that it is deleted. We only send you that one email unless you sign up. To limit abuse we count attempts per internet address per day; we only store that address in encrypted (hashed) form, and the count expires after a day.

3. Why do we process your data?

  • Performing the agreement — to run your account, the app, your quotes, invoices and website.
  • Communication — to send login codes, notifications (for example when a customer signs) and messages about your account, and to answer your questions.
  • Billing — for your subscription and our accounts.
  • Security and improvement — to prevent abuse, find errors and see how well signing up works.

Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)), legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c), such as tax record-keeping) and legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f), for security and improvement).

4. How long do we keep your data?

  • Account data: as long as your account exists. After cancellation your data remains available for export for 12 months and is then deleted, except where the law requires us to keep it.
  • Invoices, accepted quotes and related data: 7 years (tax record-keeping obligation).
  • Quotes that were not accepted or expired, and requests through your website: as long as your account is active (as customer history), deleted when the account ends.
  • Dictation recordings: not stored; only used to turn them into text.
  • Email questions: as long as needed to help you, at most 12 months after the last contact.

5. Do we share your data with third parties?

Nuvalo never sells your data. We use the following processors:

  • Supabase — database, storage and server functions (servers in the EU, Frankfurt).
  • Resend — sending login codes, notifications and quote and invoice emails (US, with EU Standard Contractual Clauses/SCCs).
  • Cloudflare — DNS/domain management and serving the websites businesses create with Nuvalo (US, with SCCs).
  • Vercel — hosting and CDN for the app and gonuvalo.com; processes technical data such as IP address and browser details for delivery and security (US, with SCCs).
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing; processes your name, email address, billing address and payment details (Ireland, with transfer to the US under SCCs).
  • Sentry — error monitoring for the app and server functions (servers in the EU, Germany).
  • Anthropic — AI text assistance; only processes the text you provide when polishing quote texts, writing website copy, drafting a dictated quote or asking the help assistant (US, with SCCs).
  • OpenAI — turns speech into text when you dictate a quote. The recording is only used for that and is not stored by Nuvalo (US, with SCCs).
  • Google — looking up business details and reviews via the Places API when you connect your Google profile (Ireland, with transfer to the US under SCCs).

The current list is always on the sub-processors page. We don't share your data with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

6. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. All communication uses HTTPS, your data is stored encrypted within the EU, and each business only sees its own data. Photos of extra work are kept in protected storage.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Access — you can ask which data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — you can have incorrect data corrected.
  • Erasure — you can ask us to delete your data.
  • Objection — you can object to the processing of your data.
  • Data portability — you can request your data in a common file format.

Send your request to info@gonuvalo.com. We respond within 30 days.

You can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

8. Cookies

Nuvalo does not use tracking or analytics cookies. We only use functional cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work.

To see how well signing up works, we count anonymously how often a step is reached (for example: page viewed, scrolled past the first screen, email field tapped, sign-up button tapped, code sent, or the quote template or paint calculator used; we don't send what you fill in there). For each count we only store the step, the source from the link (such as an advert), the type of device (phone, tablet or computer) and whether the page was opened inside the Instagram or Facebook app. We store no IP address, no browser details and nothing that can be traced back to you, and we place nothing in your browser for it.

9. Changes

We may update this privacy policy when our services or the law give reason to. The most recent version is always on this page. If the Dutch and English versions differ, the Dutch version prevails.
